Eric took me on a out and back along the ridge that overlooks the Hwy 118 valley to the north and Santa Rosa Rd to the south. Also, viewing the Pacific Ocean. Beautiful route. Big climb on the way out. 6.25 miles RT. Eric started to falter on the climb, likely mostly from the heat (he added the "terrible" bruise from pole vaulting...). Then I opened up gentle on the down and pulled away (and I might add, I had a side ache the entire run esp. on the down). beat him by over a minute.
